On the tenth day, we visited medical campus of Xiamen University. Medical campus was placed an hour away from the main campus. Therefore, we took a university bus to be in Xiamen University medical campus.
We visited a medical research laboratory. The research laboratory was huge and updated. Also, the research laboratory we toured had received a recognition by Chinese government.

Second, we went to the library and several facilities within Xiamen University medical campus. The campus was new and well-built. What’s unique was that students were using bikes rather than cars. So in my perspective, the environment promoted more healthier living style.
After the tour, we went to the research center to present at Xiamen student symposium. First, Dr. Towne had presented about how to write publications. It showed us basic but important steps towards writing authentic publications. Also, the advices within his presentation was really helpful in tracking and checking the steps towards writing a publication. Personally, I thought the presentation was really helpful towards Chinese public health students since their focus is in publications.
After lunch, we presented our materials and shared our understandings towards public health between Chinese curriculum and American curriculum. I presented about mindfulness and yoga program that my team created during one of the courses in Texas A&M University. I think it could have been helpful to Chinese students in illustrating different ways of pursuing field of public health. Moreover, I myself has learned so much from this presentation. My view of public health has expanded so much through Chinese students' presentations.
Up above are two friends that I got close with during the trips in Xiamen. We took this picture right before dinner in the balcony of the restaurant. In the left picture is Steven Zhang, and in the right is JunZe Chen. They were students who were accompanying us during stay in Xiamen. Through the conversations with them, I was able to learn a lot of Chinese culture and the language.
